Meet Katie

I’m drawn to the moments that stay with us.

Some are the ones we plan for—a wedding day, a growing family, a season of life we want to hold onto. Others arrive quietly: light settling across a landscape, the pause between words, the ease that comes when someone forgets they’re being seen.

Photography became a way for me to slow down and notice—to really look at people, places, and the small details that are so easy to pass by. It’s where I learned to pay attention, and where I keep returning when I want to feel grounded. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate how photographs hold onto something beyond the moment itself. Even decades later, they can still carry a feeling—a reminder that something essential remains.

Whether I’m photographing a couple, a coastline, or a canyon at sunrise, I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for something honest.

Because in the end, photographs aren’t just about remembering what happened. They remind us how it felt to be there—the people we loved, the places that shaped us, and the fleeting moments that became part of who we are.
